Its been too long since I've posted... I realize that I am trying too hard to do something major instead of focusing on the little things. So I thought I would share my favorite thing to brighten someones day.
Most of you have probably heard of the BRILLANT idea called Instead of Flowers. It is one of my favorite things to do for gifts. It is super easy to order and it really means a lot to a friend or loved one.
Check out their website http://www.insteadofflowers.com/ you can send it just because to make someones day.
That's so Random!
“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” Leo Buscaglia

Enjoy!
Over the weekend I did a quick cheap RAOK. I went to check the coke machine later and it was gone. Such a great feeling and so easy!

Random Act of Kindness... FAIL
So, I treated myself this week and went to get a mani/pedi at my favorite spot. Before I left I decided to do a RAOK while I was out. I really wanted to try something that didn't cost any money. The first thing I did was I printed out a piece of paper that had free compliments on it. It was like a tear sheet you might find on a bulletin board at Starbucks for a dog walker or something, but it had compliments on it like "you are beautiful".
Once I arrived, with a coworker nonetheless, I was so excited to hang up the compliments that I went to the bathroom immediately. I hung up the paper on the back of the door and walked out.
After only about 10 minutes, I heard talking coming from the bathroom. I could not decipher what was being said as it was in a different language. As I looked up, the owners husband was holding the paper and showing all the ladies who were totally confused. I was pretending like I was oblivious to what was going on when the man looked at me and said "did you put up this up there?" I sheepishly replied "yes, it is just a little something to make people smile". My nail lady said "its to pretty to be in the bathroom, it should be by the front door." The whole thing was awkward as I tried explain my blog and why I was doing it.... I wanted to hide!
So valuable lesson #1 when doing RAOK: make sure there are enough people around so that you can be anonymous!
***notice the photo below with my nail lady and the paper posted over her left shoulder!
Lesson learned, now onward and upward!

Thank You!
I've been under the weather for the past few days and am finally feeling like my self again thank goodness! After a lazy day at home, I started racking my brain about something I could do from the comfort of my home... I pulled out my card box, I think I got it at Target a few years ago... Ohhh here's a cute one from Kate Spade. I keep adding to my box, but I have a million Thank You cards. Everyone needs one! I have lots of different cards, but the thank you cards have taken over. I mean who doesn't like to get a thoughtful piece of mail? Well this girls loves mail (hint, hint)!
My List:
Well this will be a good start. Have a beautiful week and I'd love to hear about your random acts of kindness no matter how big or small!
My List:
- office staff where I live
- office staff at work (who's a brown nose-er?)
